The lab features ZedaSoft's dual-dome simulators, which include MVRsimulation visuals, for Auto Ground Collision Avoidance System (GCAS) and ICAS algorithm testing at Lockheed Martin.

  • September 30, 2020, Shephard Media's Military Training includes MVRsimulation VRSG in the article Remote Learning, about simulation training for pilots of remotely piloted aircraft (RPAS). The article describes use of VRSG in the USAF's MJAT, which appends to a tactical MQ-9 GCS in order to convert it to a training simulator. MJAT provides RPA operators the ability to conduct simulation training as part of qualification and follow-on continuation training to maintain proficiency and currency in all required tasks.

The pilot, from D3A, is wearing an HTC VIVE augmented with Collins Aerospace' s Coalescence mixed-reality system and running VRSG's out-the-window view. The report itself contains a quote from Garth Smith, president and co-founder of MVRsimulation.

  • December 2, 2109, issue of I/ITSEC 2019 Show Daily contains the article "MetaVR Introduces New Deployable JTAC Trainer" on page 22. MVRsimulation unveiled its new deployable joint fires trainer (DJFT) at I/ITSEC. 
  • December 2019 issue of Military Technology features MVRsimulation in three articles. "Simulation and Training Focus" surveys evolving trends and programs and mentions the use of VRSG in the USAF's Reaper MJAT training simulator and the USAF's  T-1A Combat System Officers Training System. "Training: Transformation or Transition?" highlights the combined efforts of MVRsimulation, Battlespace Simulations, and Close Air Solutions in JTAC simulation training solutions. The article also cited Quantadyn's JTAC simulator products in the USAF program of record (which also contains MVRsimulation visuals.) Lastly, "Progress in Naval Training Systems" describes the U.S. Navy's  Combined Arms Virtual Environment (CAVE) training dome and desktop systems, designed and installed by Battlespace Simulations, which uses MVRsimulation visuals.
  • November-December 2019, European Security and Defence "Periscope" news roundup on page 10 describes MVRsimulation VRSG in the prototype Reconfigurable Virtual Cockpit Trainers (RVCT) and door gunner trainers delivered to the U.S. Army for the Army’s Synthetic Training Environment (STE) program. The "Training and Simulation" section on page 72 describes use of VRSG in the UAE Presidential Guard's joint fires training simulators (JFTSs). That section also mentions TCS Consortium (comprised of Top Cover Solutions, 3SDL and Eagle Eye Innovations) to provide simulator instructional support to U.K. Royal Air Force MQ-9 Reaper squadrons. TCS Consortium will deliver training in tactics and procedures using the MALET-JSIL Aircrew Trainer (MJAT) simulator, which uses MVRsimulation visuals. 
  • November-December 2019, Military Training and Simulation News (MTSN) includes MVRsimulation in the article "Serious Simulations" about game technologies used in military training simulations.
  • November 1, 2019, Shephard Media's Weekly Defence Podcast features an interview with W. Garth Smith, President and co-founder of MVRsimulation. 
  • September-October 2019 issue of Military Training and Simulation News (MTSN) includes MVRsimulation in three articles. In "Standards of Control" on the standards and currency of JTAC training, MVRsimulation VRSG is mentioned as the IG in the US Air National Guard's Advanced JTAC Training System (AJTS), the USAF's Joint Terminal Control Training and Rehearsal System (JTC TRS), and in the iCASS training system used at the UK JFACTSU RAF Leeming. In "Flying from Afar," VRSG is cited as the IG in the USAF's Reaper MJAT training simulator, the US Army's Universal Ground Control Station, the US Navy's ship-based portable Fire Scout simulators, and in General Atomics' Sky Guardian demos at the Paris Airshow. Lastly, a news brief describes the recent installation of VRSG in four four-ship F-16 simulators at Buckley Air Force Base.

  • May 2019 issue of Military Simulation and Training, MVRsimulation's participation in the Air Force Academy Industry Day with business partners Battlespace Simulations, and Immersive Display Solutions on March 8 was cited in News Briefs section.
  • May 2019, a real-time VRSG scene of two JTAC characters overlooking the modeled Kilo 2 training site on MVRsimulation's virtual high-resolution geospecific terrain of Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, CA, is featured as the IMAGE Society's Image of the Month. The inset image illustrates VRSG's integration with simulated military equipment and its ability to simulate a laser mark and designate for laser-guided munitions.  
  • April 2019 issue of Military Simulation and Training features MVRsimulation in two articles. In the I/ITSEC 2018 roundup "Ready Set, Disrupt," the Fallon Familiarization Solution collaboration of MVRsimulation, Battlespace Simulations, and Immersive Display Solutions is described. Among the news briefs is an article about the installation of eight VRSG desktop systems in the new UAS lab at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University Dayton Beach campus.
  • March/April 2019 issue of Military Training and Simulation News (MTSN) includes MVRsimulation in the article "World in Picture: Image Generation" which surveys the latest technologies of several key image generators in the training and simulation market for rendering 3D terrain with ever-increasing realism.
  • January/February 2019 issue of Military Training and Simulation News (MTSN), MVRsimulation is included in the article "A Growing Market?" which surveys the Asia-Pacific training and simulation market. The article cites on pages 12-14 the recent Battlespace Simulations' (BSI's) installation of two portable JTAC simulators with MVRsimulation visuals, models, and terrain at the Republic of Korea (ROK) Army Special Warfare School.
  • February 2019 issue of Military Technology, which mentions MVRsimulation in the interview with Close Air Solutions on page 76, in the context of the company's JTAC training solutions. VRSG is used in Close Air Solutions' iCASS training systems at the UK’s Joint Forward Air Control Training and Standardisation Unit (JFACTSU), and the UAE's Presidential Guard Institute.
  • January 2019, Donald Evans of the Evergreen State College's Basewatch research program on the military bases of western Washington state, cites use of MVRsimulation VRSG in simulation training at Fort Lewis (Joint Base Lewis-McChord). The article describes use of MVRsimulation's virtual Leschi Town training facility for both simulated Close Air Support (CAS) missions and pre-mission rehearsals. After completing pre-mission rehearsal in the simulator, trainees then go on to train at the physical Leschi Town.
  • January 9, 2019, Halldale's Military Simulation and Training channel posted several news items about MVRsimulation's visuals in various programs: the renewal of 384 VRSG licenses for A10 full mission trainers (FMTs), BSI's two JTAC portable simulators with VRSG installed at the Republic of Korea (ROK) Army Special Warfare School, renewal 62 VRSG licenses for F-16 FMTs at Luke Air Force Base, AFRL's use of VRSG in F-16 simulator in the SLATE program, and Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University's recent installation of eight VRSG desktop systems in upgraded UAS lab.

  • November 13, 2018, news of MVRsimulation's upcoming I/ITSEC'18 demo was posted on the MÖNCH Training & Simulation Channel. The demo will feature a COTS Fallon Range Familiarization Solution, a collaboration between MVRsimulation, Battlespace Simulations, and Immersive Display Solutions featuring a VR headset, a curved-display cockpit simulator, and geospecific 3D terrain of the Fallon Range Training Complex (FRTC).
  • October 9, 2018, news about the Secure Live Virtual Constructive, Advanced Training Environment (SLATE) program's Phase III capstone demonstration at Nellis Air Force Base in September 2018 was reported by AFRL. SLATE uses VRSG in the virtual component of this LVC training capability high-fidelity training environment, which combines synthetic and real-world air combat training. VRSG is shown in two of the photos in the article's accompanying slideshow.
  • September 26, 2018, Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University announced the installation of eight new UAS simulators with MVRsimulation visuals in the expanded Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) Training Laboratory at the Daytona Beach campus.
  • July/August 2018, Military Training and Simulation News, MVRsimulation is included in the article "A View to a Kill" which discusses the growing importance of training warfighters involved in calling in airstrikes (JTACs, JFOs, FACs) and the simulation technologies used to train them.
  • June 28 2018, MVRsimulation visuals are featured in the Iowa Air National Guard video of the KC-135 Boom Operator Simulator System (BOSS). Video by Master Sgt. Vincent De Groot 185th Air Refueling Wing, Iowa Air National Guard.
  • June 8, 2018, The National Defense article, "Virtual Training Enables Joint Army, Air Force Exercise" describes a recent joint US Army and Air Force distributed exercise which, although not mentioned, included several simulators running VRSG: the JTC TRS at Joint Base Lewis McChord, the A-10 FMT at Davis Monthan Air Force Base, and the UAS sims at Langley Air Force Base. These simulators and others were networked over the DMON at the DTC at Langley. Shown in the article's accompanying image is VRSG running in the JTC TRS.
  • May-June 2018, MVRsimulation is included in the Military Training and Simulation News article "V for Victory," about visual database creation.
  • May 2018, MVRsimulation VRSG's newly built virtual Kleine-Brogel Air Base, Flanders, Belgium, is featured as the IMAGE Society's Image of the Month.
  • March 1, 2018, USNI News, the article "New Simulators Give Naval Aviators an Edge in Training for High-End Fight" describes the Naval Aviation Warfighting Development Center at NAS Fallon's modernization efforts, including the Combined Arms Virtual Environment (CAVE) simulator. Although not mentioned in the article, the CAVE at NAS Fallon and at other Naval aviation training sites use MVRsimulation visuals and 3D terrain and content.

  • May 12, 2017, Shephard Media reported that the JTC TRS has been installed at four US Air Force sites. These JTAC dome training systems use MVRsimulation visuals and the photo that accompanies the news brief shows MVRsimulation's Kismayo terrain rendered in the dome. The news brief also mentions the latest delivery of a Multi-Mission Crew Trainer (MMCT) system to the Air National Guard. These systems also use MVRsimulation visuals.

  • April 2017, MVRsimulation's virtual Camp Pendleton MOUT sites are featured in the Armada International Compendium: Mega City War, April-May 2017. In the article "Preparing for Battle" on page 9,which focuses on warfighter training on virtual MOUT sites, MVRsimulation's virtual replicas of Kilo 2 and Combat Town 25 at Camp Pendleton are described by MVRsimulation's terrain engineer, Kristin Blier.
